Terms

These are the terms you buy under. If any of it is unclear, ask and we will say it another way.

What you are buying

A licence to use the software, not the software itself. It is perpetual — it does not expire and there is no subscription — and it covers all the machines you personally work on.

Refunds

If autochoir2 will not run on your machine, write to hi@offwhite.studio within 14 days of buying, with your operating system version and DAW. We will help you get it running first; we may ask for the plugin’s diagnostics to do that. If it still will not run, we refund you in full, and the money goes back the way it came.

Beyond that, sales are final: everything here is a download, and a download cannot be given back. autochoir1 is free and the same idea, and the demos play both versions side by side, so you can hear what you are paying for first. Not sure it will run on your machine? Ask before you buy. In placing an order you agree that the download begins immediately and that, except as set out above, the right to withdraw is waived.

What you can do with the output

Anything. Audio you make with autochoir is yours, commercially and otherwise, with no royalty and no credit required. We claim nothing in it.

What you cannot do

• Redistribute the plugin, the pack maker, or any voice pack of ours.
• Extract the models from a pack and ship them in something else, or use them to train another model.
• Use a singer to impersonate a specific real person in a way that would mislead somebody about who was singing.

Voices you train yourself

Packs you build with the pack maker are entirely yours. They are trained on your machine, we never see them, and nothing in these terms gives us a claim on them. Whether you had the right to train on those recordings is between you and whoever sang them.

Voices you lend us

If you send us a recording of yourself for one of our packs, that is a separate arrangement, and it is written out on its own page: lending us your voice.

Updates

Buying autochoir2 includes every 2.x update. A future major version would be a separate thing, and we would say so long before it arrived.

Warranty

The software is provided as it is. We test it hard and fix what breaks, but we cannot promise it will suit every project. The machine requirements are on the support page, and if it will not run on yours, the refund above applies.
